Cycle eight august 5, 2016

Here we are on a beautiful day in August.
The blood draw took a second option: a draw from the lefthand while the port got a dose of 'draino'.
The number all look good according to Dr C.
Dan reported that neuropathy was his only concern and showed two cuts on hus numbed fingertips. Dr C will reduce oxyplatinin. As it might be an indication of sctual nerve damage which would last for years and not be reversible.

Jade was. His nurse. He stated feeling crabby and decided to catch a nap so i am reporting.
We finished up about 6:00 and were home by 6:30. I heated mac n cheese with a sausage and broccoli which tasted good ( no broccoli for Dan! He doesnt want to spoil a good food)
We watched the opining ceremonies. Dan in having one of the best night sleeps ever.

Chemo Savvy 1 of 8

Back to Chemo for 16 Weeks

First session was scheduled for 10:20, we arrived at ten. Yay we were taken to the Zen Room! Blood was drawn by Melody and then we saw Rnyang the NP.
We negociated a four hour drip of Iriniplatin to three hours , all were happy.

Back to our room with Pilgrim leading the way. Weight 247. All numbers great.
We waited snd waited. Dan ate his reuben from McMenamins lunch the previous day woth Jim Platt.

Melody had many patients, we got a late start and were there until 6:15. Dans symptoms were minor tingling of lips and thickened tongue.

Rainy rainy day. Home in heavy traffic at 7:30. Dinner was a candlelight affair. Beef stew, with the pea pesto and a rioja.
Dan was pretty wiped out but we settled in to watch Monarch of the Glen and s bit of news on Britsins secession from the EU.
